Her research focuses on automatic segmentation of white matter bundles from whole brain tractograms, registration of white matter tracts and statistical analysis of white matter bundles (tractometry).

Axon-way took first prize home at Cheng Wu Innovation Challenge 2021. Axon-way, a software tool that finds the effects of neurological and psychological conditions on white matter structural connectivity of the brain. Axon-way project is led by Bramsh Qamar Chandio, PhD Candidate advised by Dr. Garyfallidis. Chandio's team was awarded $15,000 prize money.
